This is how the kit comes in... well packed!
And it is a actual CF kit not a sticker! It use 3M tapes just plug and play!

Looks good, but can you take pictures without flash? I think it shows a bit too brightly with flash.

Thumbs up

Since, i don’t quite understand why people think this stick-on is bad

1. The IS wood is rubbish, because it is fake wood, i don’t how flash or good to show off the fake wood to someone.

2. The only difference between replacement and this kit is you just have to pay more, heaps more, for same quality stuff does the same function, and wait for another year sth. Since when i compare the trim on my car to ISF one, i couldn’t really tell differences.

Well, i m pretty happy with their craftsmanship that they have precise cut and placement with smoothness edge and such brightening shiny sliver carbon fiber that I have never seen before.
When i took this photo with my new camera, it is an even match with ISF sliver trim.

I love it on my car so so so much, god help me

here is the ISF photo for you guys to compare with.
with $300 more sth, and i could get this kind of quality,

if i hire a photographer to take photos on my car, i could get the same thing as ISF

Lexus does NOT use fake wood .... the wood trim is real. Think Yamaha supplies it to Lexus.

I don't know why some folks are down on the 'stick it' aspect of this kit. Carbon fiber used for interior trim is only for decorative purposes, it has no strength or weight saving function. If it is well crafted, fits well and looks good that is the most important thing. It doesn't need to be a solid piece of CF. Even the wood is only a thin veneer.

no, its not, you think it is real, you can simply lift up the panel and took a picture. what lexus did, is just put a single thin layer of wood pattern onto the panel. so it looks like wood because of pattern and in fact it is not wood. if you havent see what a real wood on the panel look like, get a chance to see it. jag is my favorsite wood panel car and if you compare that to lexus and some model of bmw. you can obviously tell it is fake.

furthermore, the lexus dealer actually show me a piece of those wood trim from the 2IS and i found that those so call "wood trim" had "wood pattern" on the one side and ABS plastic logo at the black. i know it is always tough to face the reality. but i reckon you can take it.

my opinion is, it never can be real wood trim, if it is out of millions chance, it is the most ugly wood trim i ever seen which is similar to brand that most civic (Randh's Favorsite car - civic) use to stick stuff on their car. thats why i use this sliver carbon fiber to enhance the most ugly part of my car, so in other word, it is not really that sliver carbon fiber looks fantastic that i buy, it is because that the wood trim on my car ruin everything so i need something better and nice to enhance it. in history there is no sport car with wood trim on it, and the wood trim happen to be fake.

Don't know why you keep insisting it's not real wood. It is real. It is a very thin bird's eye maple veneer laminated onto the ABS holder, and then it is heavily coated with the gloss finish. Are there better quality wood trims out there? Yes, there are. But that doesn't make the Lexus trim fake. You can continue to deny it, but you are wrong on this issue. Just because it isn't a solid hunk of wood doesn't mean it is fake.
