Hey guys,

I was looking at brochures of the new LS having real-time traffic...Is there anyway we can upgrade our Navigation systems to have this feature? To my understanding its around $12 a month for the service...but living in Miami and dealing w/ traffic sucks...What do you guys think ?

 

I asked Lexus HQ and unfortunately, our nav system does not have the hardware to support Real Time traffic.

Also, I doubt that the IS will get it anytime soon. Most likely, Lexus will reserve such a privilage to their premium sedans, the LS and soon the '08 GS and perhaps the '08 IS-F.

I expect the IS to have such an uprage not for '08, but for '09, right on time for a restyle/refurbishment (not redesign)...

 

Real Time Traffic and Weather seem to be exclusive to newer Hard Disk Drive (HDD) based Nav systems. The IS Nav system is still DVD based.

 

since there are already several live traffic update systems currently in use and available, which one do you use that you're finding works out ok (accurate)?
