Default Is this real? "Window Rollup kit Lexus" - Using Remote to Rollup Windows

I found this on Yahoo Auctions- I'm wondering if this is real. Looks like plug n' play.

* Will install with any remote car alarm system.
* Integrate factory power windows with your security system, for convenient remote control operation.
* Roll up windows upon arming, or use auxilliary channel to roll down or vent.

No comment on the product, but the seller has no feedback - big red flag

Seller (rating): carstuffoutlet (unrated)

Would you feel more comfortable if a stereoshop charged you $500 to install a $40 part?

yes, because they'd be liable if the part overheated and started an electrical fire!

it looks like a standard NEG trigger window roll-up. I don't think it can be integrated with OEM Keyless unless it uses door lock pulse to trigger the roll up module.

Is it possible? Maybe....

Also regarding burning the windows motor, it actually have a failsafe relay. Try holding the WINDOWS UP switch... after it is close you will hear a CLICK. That is the relay cutting off the power to the motor.

No, I'm saying my friend owns a stereoshop and features like this are accomplished with $20 programmable relay parts. It's just most people can't figure it out for themselves and will pay $500 for a shop to do it. I don't know this particular part, but I can find out reputable brands for similar ones, bottom line is they are all within a few bucks of each other.

So you can either figure out how to wire it in for under $50 bucks and ensure the wiring is perfect and clean, or you can feel better that some kid making $10 bucks an hour installed that cheap part that they are charging you $500 installed for.

That's why your car has fuses.

In the US, it works with the mechanical key, but not the remote. Outside of North America, it works as you describe. Lexus' lawsuit phobic lawyers at work, scared of liability in our lawsuit crazed country, I suppose...
