Default Two Part IS250 Question

I'll be picking up an '07 IS250 within the next month, and have had my heart set on Starfire Pearl up until now.

I recently saw a Tungsten Pearl IS250 w/ X-Package and fell in love. I still prefer white over everything else, but the X-Package is only available in TP, SGM, and black. Is it worth foregoing white in order to get X-Package, or should I just go for Tungsten Pearl?

Also, how are you 250 owners enjoying your cars after the initial excitement has worn off? It seems like a good amount of people already plan on trading their 250s in after just months with the car. I'm debating between the 328i coupe and IS250. I've been in love with the IS since it debuted, and prefer Lexus over BMW (totalled my IS300 this past year), but am worried that I'll grow bored with the car as many of you seem to have. I've tried to love the 3er as much as the IS, but haven't been able to convince myself against the Lexus. Moreover, I prefer sedans and simply love the styling of the IS inside and out.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm having a tough time deciding.

If you are only looking to get the ground effects kit out of the X package, you can just have the dealer order it seperate and put it on the car when it comes in.

I own a starfire pearl and fell in love with the color the moment i saw it. At least in my town, almost 95% of all the IS250's and 350's are silver so i wanted to stay away from that. I personally dont think i will grow board of my 250 for years to come and would definetly get the IS over the BMW but everyone has their own taste.

If you only really like white, then you'll totally regret it if you get any other color. Sure you may like it for the first couple of weeks, but eventually you'll realize you should have gone with that you gravitated toward initially.

the only time i like black over white is only when its clean.. but after couple months of ownership, i find myself not having the time to clean it as much as i used to.

Ya that was my thing when i bought my 250. All the dealers would say they wouldnt have a white, with all black interior with navi but they would have a silver with those options. I would always have to catch myself and stick to wanting white for the exact reason Reyngel said is you will regret it a month later when you see someone else driving that exact car around. Get exactly what you want and stick to it.

If you are an agressive driver, you may get bored with the IS250 quick. I've had my TP IS250 for 7 months now and boredom is nowhere in sight yet. I still find myself wanting to take it for a spin just down the block to the store when I haven't been in it for a while. I don't know how long this will last but I'm glad I chose this car over the 328i.

For me, i thought about black but went againt it due to my wanting to show the lines of the car and in black it wouldn't be possible. End up going with silver and i think i've made a good choice.

Stick with the Pearl. It looks more classy. As far as boredom goes, that never crossed my mind. I haven't driven my car in the last 6 months, so I can't wait to jump back in it. Once I put my wheels on, it will be like a whole new car

SO you cant order the x-package in white? THank god.

I was kicking myself in the pants for not ordering the x-package. Its such a steal at $1440... esp, since the stock 18s cost 720... so for the extra 720 you get
xpackage wheels(???),
sports suspension(???),
front lip(340),
sport pedals,($120)
lighted sills($300)
