Default Low Tire warning light

Hi.
Last night, it was about 10 degree outside and I went grocery shopping. After I loaded some grocery stuffs on my IS250, I was about to go, but I found a warning indicator came on my dash. It says 'low tire'. I stepped out and checked all the tires and they were all fine, but the warning light was still on. Well, I just took off and when I drove on Hwy for about 5 min, the warning light disappeared.
My question is, what happened? Has anyone here experienced the same thing?

Hasn't happened to me, but wasn't it warm there a few days ago. Last time you checked the air, was it about 60 or 70 degrees? The air pressure will drop about 1 lb. per 10 degree drop in temp. After you drove it a while it probably came back up to some minimum difference from the normal pressure, and therefore turned off the warning. Just my guess.

Yeah, happened to me a few weeks ago when it was cold in the mornings and warmer in the afternoons it'd be off...so when I went into work I talked to my Svc advisor and they said they'll check them and 5 mins later, no more light! I guess since it had been a while since I had aired up the tires the cold weather makes them go a lil lower which triggered the TPS sensor. Just air up your tires and it'll go away!

What do you mean by "they were all fine"? Do you mean they didn't look flat, or did you check them with a tire gauge? If the latter, what pressures did you read?

Oh, I meant that tires did not look flat, but I did not measure them with tire gauge.

Same thing happened to me. I looked at them and they were fine (or so I thought). It kept going off so I went to the gas station and they were all low!

I'd suggest you check w/ a gauge!

The light comes on way before they are low enough to look flat, usually when they are down about five psi. Check the cold inflation pressure, and compare with the correct values listed on the driver's door jamb.

I had the same thing happen to me when we had a few days when the temperature dropped to 20-25 degrees. Tire pressure decreases as it gets colder--the tires were inflated to 32 psi, and when cold the air pressure dropped to about 28 psi. So I increased the psi to 35 and have not had any other problems.

Temp was in the high 30s low 40s here. Same thing happened to me. I checked with a gauge and they were all fine. I pressed the reset button and haven't seen the light since.
