Default the wait is over...my IS250 MT

after 4 1/2 months of waiting i finally got my car yesterday...when i found out when it was coming in, i could barely sleep due to the excitement. i've been actually waiting to get this car when the IS came out in 2006. Why? long story short...so much of my time was wasted by the dealer to figure out the options i wanted in a manual was a special order only and by then it was close to 2007 so i decided to wait for that and here i am today.

lexus was nice enough not to install my front license plate..haha i wonder how long i can drive without it

ML and nav hacked using technique's switch method...thanks dude

fyi to all: the process for taking the center console is different in a manual. i nearly killed myself trying to take off the silver pieces (these do not come off). its actually easier to take this off than the autos.
you just:

1) remove cup holder
2) remove shift **** and the panel

and the rest is the same.

nice..

Congrats! I know how the wait can be! Specially, when you can't sleep. I am in the same position as my car is at the port.

Congrats!

A stick with Nav and ML is definitely one of a kind!!

How do you like the stick? I think some members here complained that the engine tends to hang on to the RPM between shifts... Is that true?

Just curious, how much did you pay for your MT? I picked one up in December for a little under 31k otd (HID/18" wheels/pref. package) in CA and was curious what other people are paying. thanks.

Congratulations!

You're very lucky to have a Manual IS. I would give anything to have a manual.

Have fun bro, and be careful..

mail_junky: i like the stick..but there are some things that i would change...the engagement of the clutch should be earlier, heavier clutch (however since the clutch hasn't broken in yet...i'll wait to see to make my judgement), and finally a short shifter (the throws are long compared to what i'm use to and thats a gsr )

as for the rpms...i don't really understand what the others were talking about...they seem fine to me..it drops between shifts like any other car but for me i tend to leave my foot on the gas a lil so it stays or goes up a lil bit when i shift...hehe...maybe someone can explain further plz??

gsrthomas: do you have pictures of your parking lights and drls? i was looking at this site and was considering getting these. how much was shipping and do your drls still appear yellow?

idragen: i paid 38k otd.
