The IS OEM HID uses D4S bulbs, which are really hard to find if you want to upgrade them to a higher Kelvin temperature. So far the only place I know that has them is www.xenonvalot.com.

We are proud to be among the pioneering companies on the market to present our customers with the new Philips XenEco bulbs HID D4S and HID D4R !

They are a whole new generation of more environmentally safe and yet powerful HID bulbs. The bulbs are 100% mercury free and also have better illumination than their predecessors in terms of lumen level.

The NEW D4S XENON and D4R XENON bulbs can be used slightly modifying the base to replace existing D2S (Philips 85122, Osram 66040 for example) and D2R (Philips 85126, Osram 66050 for example) HID bulbs as they have the same base construction P32-d2 respective P32-d3.

Model Kelvin Lumen Price
D4S Philips 42402 4.800 3.800 99,00EUR
D4S Philips 42402 V269 5.800 3.300 99,00EUR
D4R Philips 42406 4.800 3.800 99,00EUR

The new D4S HID and D4R HID also have a crispier, more bluish / white color (4800K vs. 4100K/4250K) without sacrificing the essential lighting power at all. You still get +600lm more / bulb than with the original D2S or D2R even with the white color many of us desire and search for.

Please contact our sales info@xenonvalot.com or +358400935356 for more information and to order these items.

i think she meant regular D2R/D2S 6000k hid kits to upgrade non-hids. they only have H-XX and 900X hid kits. XD nor any other manufacturer has D4S hid kits yet. you can probably find 4100/4300K bulb replacements but only XenonValot carries D4S bulbs of the 6000K variety.
