Problems with programing my Genie garage with homelink??

FYI for anyone that needs help....got it to work today.
Main key i didn't do was have the car pointed towards the garage, i was trying to do it before with the car in the garage. Got the remote synced up first then ran to the garage and pressed the learn button and ran back to the car and held the button i wanted programmed on the homelink and bam it works
