2006 hack = 2007 hack completely... right?
Correct......

What would happen if you just intercepted the pink wire(speed sensor) and installed a switch? (without cutting the white/silver wire)
humm interesting.. would this effect the nav in any way while you are driving..

When the pink wire is totally cut, your GPS is relying solely on the satellites, so the nav is not as accurate and is "jumpy" and not smooth... That's why it's best to install a switch so you only have the pink wire "cut" when you want to enter a destination... Once you flip the switch back, all is smooth and perfect...

Ok.. i'm stuck..

I finally did the Nav hack with switch.. but ran into a problem.. its jumpy..

Ok.. so I have a 07 350..

remove everything,

cut the pink wire and white with silver

attached the pink wire(from the car) to the switch
then attached the white with sliver (from the bottom plug, forgot whats the number plug) to the switch.

this the switch I used.
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...rt&tab=summary

result.. = everything work during moving... switch on or off everything still work??? wtf.

and its jumpy?

Where is my problem? the switch? or the wiring?

the pink wire (from the nav HU) remind cut and not connected
white and sliver (from the P1- HU) remind cut and not connected

Pink wire(from the car) is connected to the switch
White and Silver (from Under J50 Plug) is connected to the switch

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.. thx

Technique...i put it in the 34pg nav hack thread but just in case you dont see it i wanted to post here as well. I wanted to thank you for everything you have done on this, the fact that you had to answer the same questions OVER and OVER and OVER on that other thread and you did so professionally every time says a lot. I have never been on a car forum that didnt flame for asking the same question but you did it every time, hats off to you.

Oh btw i am picking up my 06 350 tomorrow and you can be certain i will do the nav hack and switch method that you have described in this thread.

Edit: Hey technique, what do you think about buying that headlight washing switch and just filing off the white to make it look plain black and factory, would that switch work you think?

Thanks, it's my pleasure to help...

As far as the headlamp washer switch... or any other other switches that would go in those slots for the IS350, they really won't work well because the switch is only "activated" as long as you are holding it down... In other words, 2-position switch, "on" and "off", the headlamp switch is always "off" unless you are holding it down... So you'd have to hold down the headlamp washing switch continuously to use it the way you are thinking...

Hope that makes sense...

That's why I went with the fog light switch... I think the best switch is the plain black scion switch... But still, it would be nicest to have a Lexus looking switch, but I don't think one exists out there...
