Default Would adding Sport Suspension + Eibach's give a bigger drop?

I was considering doing some lowering to fill the gap my BBS wheels have.

Noticed that the Sport suspension gives about a .4" drop, if I got that package (I have base right now) and then added Eibach springs (1" front, .8" back) would that total to a 1.4" front and a 1.2" back drop?

Figure that might be less expensive ($325 for sport suspension and then $230 for Eibachs) over going with the Tein CS ($1300).

You can't do both - you can either buy the sport package suspension, or some Eibachs. Another member here, lobuxracer, has confirmed that the sport package suspension is nothing more than a set of lowering springs (10mm) and different shock valving. If you want a more extreme drop than the Eibachs give, go for some different springs, like the Tanabe's (DF210's, I think?) - they drop a bit more. Hope this helps,

Javier

If you plan to go with the Eibachs, the sport suspension would be a better start. At least the shock valving will be closer to what you need for a stiffer spring. However, the drop will not be additive. It will be the same as Eibach's specification. If you think about it for a minute, it will make sense. You're putting the same load on the spring either way, it's going to compress to a given height regardless.

Thanks Javier and Lobux. Didn't really think thru the spring compression issue when I posted that this morning.

The Tanabe's have too much of a rear drop, the rear is fairly good for me as is, the front is what really needs the drop.

If I could find 1.2"-1.4" front and .8" rear that'd be great but the only thing that is close are the Eibach's or the Tein's, but the Tein's are only available on Ebay so far and I don't know how good they are. The Eibach's are pretty commonly used with few, if any, complaints.

eBay Teins are unlikely to be real Teins. If you go to the US website you'll see Tein is very unhappy about this.

Thanks for the warning, contacted my local Tein dealer according to their website. Might go with the H-Techs (1.02"F, .6"R) but I'm tempted to slam my car down a bit and go with the S-Techs (1.6"F, 1.2"R).

Need to look at the ride issues with the S-Techs, don't want to get too rough.

The S-Techs would probably make it tuck, no?

With the S-Techs the clearance would be really close, went out and measured it a few minutes ago, would leave about an inch clearance between the tire and wheel well in the front and back.

Might go with the H-Techs since they offer a better difference than the Eibach's in the rear.

So wait, you're worried about the Eibachs dropping the rear too far, but you're considering slamming your car down on S-Techs? Make up your mind, man!!! j/k... Here's a pic of the Eibach drop if you haven't seen one before - make sure to post pics whichever way you decide to go!

The gap with my BBS RS-GTs is noticibly big in the front and then pretty nice in the rear. So the issue is that I need to get the front dropped decently to cover the gap and the rear only minorly to compensate.

So the Tanabe's drop the rear more than the front which doesn't work for me, the Eibach's are a nice drop all the way around but I could use a little more front and the Tein's do either a nice front and slight rear drop or slam the front and kinda slam the rear.

My perfect drop would be about 1.2"-1.4" front and .6"-.8" rear, which wouldn't be a slam but would take care of the front gap pretty well.

So it looks like either set of the Tein's if they are available thru my local retailer, just need to decide if I want to risk the slam or not.
