Anyone know why they didn't release a yellow ISX50?

I wanted mine to be a pearl yellow.

I know it loud, but.. the IS300s I thought looked soooo pretty in yellow. Oh well.

 

hmm.. yellow? well i guess... i can't really picture it. my neighbor has a yellow clk230 and i just don't see that color on an IS. but then again they did come out with desert sage and golden something....

i guess lexus doesn't think it fits in with the luxury.

 

That doesn't explain why there were Yellow IS300s, those were luxory.. were they not?

 

the is300 is a sportier car than the isx50's.. lexus decided to go more luxury on the newer is's.. but the new red color on the is looks pretty sporty imo.. don't know why they killed off yellow

 

I think Lexus wanted to make the IS more luxurious to car buyers, rather than more sporty/racy looking to enthusiasts.

Lexus sells a lot more to a generalized population, not a niche group...

 

sorry, what i meant to say was they were trying to be more luxurious. it seems that most people dont look at the 1st gen and consider it a luxury car.

 

tried doing a photochop.. but failed miserably... couldnt get the right yellow, but this is kinda what it would look like.

 

Because Yellow doesn't sell well on luxury cars. Sure the 2IS is a "sports sedan" but it's more towards Luxury then anyway. The old IS300's IN my opinion were true sports sedan with a touch of luxury.

If you want yours yellow...paint it.

 

Matador Red my favorite color for the IS350 It's a beautiful paint I don't think yellow is too suitable for the new IS . . .

ugh that yellow, I just vomited in my mouth a little...I have to disagree with whom ever said the IS300 is sportier than the 350.

 

yellow would have been nice, though i would have rather had my matador red.

the yellow might look fine if you could find the right kind of paint... i dunno how it'd look if it was like a mica type instead of the is300 color.

Have you driven the 1st Gen IS before?

 

1st gen is waaay sportier than the second gen for sure...

yellow on the 2nd gen? probably doesnt work...looks like a toy
