Default How do you remove center engine cover?

I did a search, but don't see the answer. I guess it's called a 'valve-bank' cover, from what I did find, but how does it attach to the engine? Is it easy to get it off? I just wanted to see what's under it. Thanks.

I tried that, but I guess I didn't want to break anything, so it was a wimpy lift. Thank you.

It's pretty durable - you'll see when you get it off. Just give it a good yank.

There are 3 attachment points. You dont need any tools to get the cover off.

There are two points at the front, which are a ball and socket type, with the socket on the underside of the cover. The socket is rubber lined, so just apply upward pressure and it will release of the ball. You will notice the cover flex quite a bit tho. If possible, try to push up from the underside near where it starts to flex.

The rear clip is a spring metal fitting which is located in the middle of the rearmost part of the cover. When you get the front released, the cover will pivot around this clip. Again apply pressure from underneath and it will release its grip.
