on the black interior.. the dash gets smudges.. kinda of a greyish looking smudges.. few shades lighter than the actual dash color

these also appear on the door panels below the window.. from elbows and what not..

i tried using damp microfiber towel to wipe it but not coming out on the dash..

doors however goes away instantly.. any tips?

I have the same thing. I bought a "treated" dust cloth like my wife uses on the furniture. It works great. I keep it in the console. Sometimes just waiting at a red light I will use it.

Aloha,
Larry

There's no wipe or cloth that will get rid of scuffs - the only way to fix a textured piece of plastic is to replace it...

no i dont mean damage to the texture.. the scuffs im talking about is on the surface

imagine if you took a pencil eraser and wiped it across the texture of the dash.. those are the smudge/scuff im talking about

Hmmmm....

You could try a leather cleaner. I only use those wipes on all of the plastic or wood in my car.

I use this for the leather seats....

I would look into maybe a good cleaner/conditioner for your seats...
http://www.meguiars.com/?automotive-...er-Conditioner

I will get some of the above when my wipes run out but so far all of the Meguiars products that I use have worked great. Here is what I use once a week on my car besides the interior wipes...

Wash

Wheels/Tires
http://www.meguiars.com/?tire-care/Hot-Shine-Tire-Foam
http://www.meguiars.com/?wheel-care/...-Wheel-Cleaner

Paint

http://www.meguiars.com/?car-polishe...-System-Polish

I also wax once a month with this...
http://www.meguiars.com/?liquid-car-...ation-Tech-Wax

And keep all the grit and bugs off of the car with this...I just keep it in the trunk with a few microfiber towels. This stuff is GREAT!

I have this also but I think it is due to what I used to clean my car with.

It doesn't do any damage to the car, and it has only shown up since winter. In the morning when it is cold I can see them, but in the afternoon once the car warms up it isn't so bad. But, I will try the Megiuars and see if that alleviates the problem all together.

I used a damp sponge and told my wife to never put her feet on the dash again. BTW, if your passenger has feet on the dash and you deploy an airbag, plan for a long hospital stay or a funeral.

Amen to that....

Every time my wife gets the kids in the car they put their feet up on everything. Now she cleans it if they make a mess and I told them they have to keep there feet in a down position for safety.

Did the marks come out?

Yes, I got the white marks to come off completely and they have not returned. It took just a light scrub and it was gone for good.
