Default mileage

i got my 06 is 350 on december 24th of 2005 and i now have... 10,300 miles i believe. is this more than usual or just the right amount? im planing to drive down to san luis obispo from the east bay area and trying to see if i want to put an extra 400 miles on the car. If 10,300 miles is less than average though then ill be glad to take my car :-p

on lease's they usually give you a limit of 12,000 a year. I figure they get that from averaging so I'd say you're right on target. But then again some people drive a lot more than others.

I've had mine since June 30th and have only 2,600 miles (taking the train into the city everyday, so weekends are for driving the 350 like mad!)

Most of the car value books also use figure 12,000 miles/year as "normal" use.

my dad and i both have 250s...he got his car last november and his odo is reading 29,500 miles (yes, you read that right)...i got my 250 july 18th and i have 6500 miles on it...needless to say we drive a lot, especially my dad

and btw...i know he's not going to get s*** for his car when he sells it, he goes through this everytime he has a car so no need to to say anything like..."wow, thats going to suck for resale" or anything like that...he understands

Matty,

I'm in the same boat as your dad... I put ~500 miles a week on my car so I'm looking at around ~24,000 miles a year. Yeah this is going to toast the resale value BUT I purchased the car to drive and I'm really enjoying it... that's all that matters in my book

Got mine on Jan 14th, and just hit 10,000 yesterday. Seeing 5 digits on the odo is slightly heartbreaking since I baby this car. 10 months and this thing still has that new car smell. 10,300 is not that high in my opinion for a car that is such a pleasure and very realiable to drive.
Let's face it, cars ultimately wear and tear like everthing else, I say enjoy every second you are in that thing and drive to your heart's content Know that this is not the last car you will be driving and there will be always something more exciting in a few years!

I got mine back in mid july 06 and have about 1500 miles only...I drive my civic to work about 3 times a week and 1 day for the 06 vette and other for IS350. I tend to split the weekend choir between the my IS350 and 06 vette.

at 10,000 miles your car is still an infant, you got another 10k before it's in its prime...and driving like it should
