has anyone had any troubles after the TSIB? I wonder why they cant seem to fix this if the TSIB is correcting the problem? Hopefully they find the cure for this so less have to deal with it. Mine started around 20k miles and just got worse as time went bye. I never did get it done as looking at what they had to do I was fearful to drop the car off.

My 08 started when it had 3000 some odd miles. Had it done about 7 months ago and hasn't came back. Went to the dealer on fri and they worked on it that day. Picked it up Mon afternoon.
mine started to do it at 10k miles (december 08) now has 11.5k miles and at first, it would happen every 7th or 8th start. Now it happens 60-70 percent of the time. The weird thing is it happens after sitting 30min to a couple hours compared to sitting all night long. Anyone else experience this? I called Lexus of Concord and asked for the dusty brakes TSIB and this one as well to be done. I thought for sure they would want me to bring it in for them to verify the noise, instead he said he would order the parts and call me when they come in.
Dropped my 08 IS350 off at Charles Barker Lexus in Virginia Beach last night. They have not performed the TSB there but are aware of it. The SA there told me they need to reproduce the sound themselves to verify it, even though my VIN is covered on the TSB. Will update as to how well they handle the situation once I know more. Hopefully they come through and don't give me the run-around.....
I first started noticing the problem about a month ago (around 13K) and its been getting worse and more frequent.
Made an appointment for the 3 recall and at the same time wanted this TSIB done. Since I bought the car in 06 the cranking noise happened maybe 10 times. But still, not an encouraging sound and when everyone looking at you it can be embarrassing.
Same as above, they told me they need to reproduce the sound themselves to perform the TSIB. I understand this for a unknown problem when the tech can see or here. But when the problem is documented with a fix this is not acceptable!
I placed a call with Lexus Canada to see what they can do...

Let me know what Lexus Canada has to say. I purchased my car in chicago and drove it back to Toronto. I got my car in the dealership right as we speak for the same problem. They tried to tell me that the sound is normal. Wow did they have the nerve to tell me that. Left it the night earlier so that I could start it up for them this morning and with no surprise, the sound was not reproduced. I told them to hold on to it till tomorrow to see if they can reproduce the sound. So far I got no call and tomorrow i'll probably get a call telling me the car is fine.
Did they know about the tsib before u mentioned it?
I'm planning to speak with the service manager and show him some video clips that I took along with the tsib.
Well Lexus Canada finally called me back. Same story. If their tech can't reproduce no TSIB fix. When I ask to speak to his manager he said that is not their policy. He was representing Lexus at the highest level.
This is not acceptable for a know problem. It is not my fault this noise doesn't happen every time I start the car! I am so pissed right now.
So I get a call from lexus this morning telling me that they heard the noise at 7:30am because it was really cold with frost on the windows. They started the car again at 10:30am and nothing. He tells me that it was only a second and explains to me that it's to do with the oil etc...... So because it's related to weather they don't want to do anything about it. He tells me if it was more consistent then they would fix it. I told him that I have 11 videos in the past 7 days thats almost 2 videos a day considering I did not drive my car every day that week. How much more consistent can it get????
