HELP! XD HID kit installed, DRLs dont work?
hey guys, anyone able to help, please do so...
Just finished installing an XD HID kit, now when the engine is on, the DRLs no longer turn on.
When I turn on high beams, lows come on also.
When lows are on with fogs on also, and i turn on highs, fogs turn off
I followed the DIY instructions to a t, I'm very confused.

does anyone else have a hypothesis to remedy this problem?
well the fogs will turn off automatically when you put your high beams on. when you turn on the highbeams, your lows are suppose to be on also. as far as the DRL is concerned, most ppl i know go thru the trouble of having them turned off thru the dealer ( like i had done). so unless you want your DRL on all the time, i wouldnt worry about it. but if you are, than try uninstalling the kit and see if the DRLs come back on. also, which grounding point are you using for your XD kit?
I really apprectiate all the help blitz...thanks for clearing up about the fogs and the lows coming on w/ the highs.
i uninstalled the kit and nothing's changed, i do want the DRLs cuz i'm big on safety.
grounding points: passenger side I grounded to a point next to a silver box directly to the right of the strut (which also served as a grounding point with a wire coming from that silver box) driver side I used an identical point that also served as a ground for something else, the point is right directly to the left of the strut
in the pic (thanks for letting me borrow it rdrunner), I highlighted the point on the pass side that I used in yellow...any hypothesis?

didn't want to start a new thread, but sorta on topic i guess.. my right fog light was recently installed of HID fog.. the right side sometimes lights up and turns off.. the only way for it to get back on when it does shut off is to lock the doors, unlock it, lock it, and then unlock it again.. just wondering what the problem could be? ballast? wiring? i'm gonna go take it back to where i got the HIDs installed at, but just curious to find out what it could be...
