if I am not mistaken, auto leveling means that you wont get that flick effect anymore right? i personally like that about projector lens HID's, it makes them look more unique! but the AFS system is something else though.

i think auto-leveling is if your car is uneven... like if you have a lot of junk in the trunk (hahah), the lights will level itself so they don't shine up and blind oncoming traffic. i don't think it has anything to do with the flicker effect... which the is doesn't really have anyways.

auto-leveling HIDs will actually move vertically to keep the light ahead of you. For example if you are climbing a steep hill or like a ramp in a parking lot.

The flicker effect is because the HID are pointed down when you shut off the car and automatically adjust to the correct height when you turn on the car...again if park your car on a hill for example.

in addition... the auto-leveling will correct the light beam if you SLAM on the brakes or if you SLAM on the gas.... try it out and you will see. the beam with raise and lower to compensate... very cool.

hmmm maybe i'm not clear what the op's definition of the flick or flicker effect. i thought the flicker effect is when you see a car with hid projectors coming at your from far away. it looks pure white but everytime it hits a bump or a dip you see the light "flicker" to blue and sometimes even purple then back to white again.

The 2IS with Stock HID has the AFS, which include auto leveling adjustment... for those don't have Stock HID/AFS, we have a buttom to adjusts the light level frm 0~5 I think...next to the truck opener...

IMO, I find that the best is 6500K, which has the best mix of look, and functionality.

cspec,

do you have 6500k on your IS? if so, can you post some pics? I'm leaning towards 6000k, but want to see the 6500k's before i decide.

thanks!

I've had 6500K on my old S2000, when I get back to my house I'll try and dig up the pictures and show you.

This thread is about a month old. Just seeing if you've got any pics? I will be picking up the 6500k for my IS250. Just curious to see the color difference.

Thanks!
