Why is it that on the website where you build your IS, it only gives you the option for the Premium package, or the X-Package? And does anyone know if the X-Package will have heated/ventilated front seats?

it doesn't look like it does, it looks like you can pick either/or which kinda sucks but all 06 models had the premium pkg standard.

Does anyone know if its a possibility to take in my 06 IS250 w/nav to have them install the mark levinson pkg for $2 g's more...cuz i'd love to get the sounds...but more importantly...the dvd player so i can do the hack

still glad i got the 06. I know the 2007's would be new, but i'm not sold on the shark fin, doesnt look right bc it kinda takes away from the smooth look of the vehicle. the 2006 are basically the same anyway.

2008 will be intersting bc thats when we'll probably see the most change..coupe? convertable?

I think you can probably tell them not to put the shark fin if you place an order. Plus, hopefully, the 07's will have all of the glitches fixed that were in the 06's....

also the option packaging is more flexible (dont have to get some 3500 dollar package to get HID) and I like the X package, dont have to get a full blown sport package for the wheels, suspension, and pedals which is what I mainly wanted

The way you say that gives the impression that the 06's are plagued with faults and defects.

The build your IS section uses your zipcode to display only the standard allocations in your region. If you are willing to do a special order (and wait 4 months), you can get any option or package you want.

My 06 has been flawless, I haven't been to the dealer once except for the free oil change.

From reading the board we have a some seat belt recall problems, steering to the right, soft paint, and that's it...

Well... if it sounded like that than I dont mean it that way. However, I've been reading lots of threads like (i.e the leather seats are wrinkled, cracks between the NAV screen and dasboard, scratches on maple wood, etc....). This hopefully will be fixed in the 07's, that's what I mean.

NO ML?? I just looked at the website, and none of the '07 packages come with ML (in the Las Vegas area anyway.) AND I don't even see it as an option to add on?? What is going on? No moon roof, no ML....the '06's may be the best year out!

lol my friend went to dealer to work out a deal today and based on regional allocation..

so cal doesn't seem to get any x package .. or at least not for a few more month if at all for 07.. so he has to special order if he wants sport suspension and stuff without paying for full sport package

and wait 3 month..

if you put in west coast zip codes on lexus.com build your own is .. it shows only premium with hid for 3k and premium with nav for 5.6k..

glad i didn't wait for 07 like my friend is doing.. he's probably just gonna get the 07 premium and get nicer aftermarket rims now haha
