Default prokit and shocks

is it necessary to get shocks with the eibach prokit? I dont really mind a rougher ride... just wondering if shocks are necessary

Eibach is good about engineering their Pro-Kit line of springs to work with stock shocks. At the moment, there are no aftermarket shocks for the 2nd gen IS yet. It's not a bad idea to upgrade your shocks when they do come out, but it's not always necessary depending on the kind of ride quality you prefer. Just take a look at the Gen 1 IS300 w/L-Tuned Stage II package back in 2002 (suspension and wheels including the aero parts included in Stage I). The upgrades to the suspension were L-Tuned Sways and L-Tuned Springs (made by Eibach) which were mounted on the OEM stock shocks which were manufactured by Tokico.

just depends how much stronger the spring rate is over stock if its 5-10% stocks should be fine, if its more like 20-30% then I think you should get aftermarket (when they become available)
