Paint Scuff
Hi guys,
The other day, my younger brother took my car out and somehow ended up grazing a wooden light pole with the lower right side part of the rear bumper while parking. Luckily there are no dents, just what appears to be a 5 inch brown colored mark on top of the paint.
Is there anything I can purchase to help remove this mark without harming the paint? I dunno what else to do besides take it into the dealer. I'm praying that the paint itself wasn't damaged badly.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Eddie

I'd say try using a clay bar first, and if that doesn't work take it to a detail shop and see if they can buff it or something. As long as the paint isn't hurt those should work. I don't know how it couldn't be hurt but hey I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.
Its hard to offer advice without seeing the mark. However, in general, if the mark is residue left from the pole, a good paint cleaner or cleaner/wax like Meguiar's should take it out. On the other hand, if the mark has damaged the clearcoat, there is not much you can do except get the bumper repainted.
