2007 IS350 or 2005 C55?
My recommendatoin,
I myslef am a mercedez-benz of north america tech. I would def. agree with the above statment that no matter how well the dealer says its in good condition the car has def. been beat on.
A c-class no matter if it is a c240 or a c55 is just a c class the escort of mercedes. They dont do anyhitng special to the suspesion or anyhting like that just the engine. Plus not to mention the interrior of and IS is so much better then a c-class. Trust me if your bought it you would whish you had boughten an Is a few months down the road
Any questions just email me

Blue Book Suggested Retail Value
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.
Vehicle Condition Rating
Excellent (Selected)
$49,290
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.
Blue Book Retail Value Assumes Excellent Condition
This value assumes the vehicle has received the cosmetic and/or mechanical reconditioning needed to qualify it as “Excellent”. This is not a transaction value; it is representative of a dealer’s asking price and the starting point for negotiation.

This is completely incorrect. My wife and I own a C55. The C55 has a completely different body structure and suspension.
1) The front end from A pillar forward is from the CLK. They had to do this to fit the V8 in there.
2) The springs are linear and spec'd by AMG. They are not the same as the AMG package springs for the C230/350 AMG package.
3) The steering ratio is adjusted so its 10% more direct (less lock to lock) from previous years.
4) The sway bars are entirely different.
5) The engine is hand built and is amazing.
That said, I'm getting an IS because of its comfort and amentities and reliability, and the fact that we already have an AMG. Or else I would've gotten the AMG.
Sorry if this sounds like I'm trolling - I'm not, I just had to correct some inaccuracies.
The C55 is fast.
But I do agree with most, and that is why I'm going with a 2007 black on black is350. Benz or BMW can't beat the interior design and sleekness..
I'm talking 36 month leases with dealers now...
I'll let you guys know how I do...

I'm working a deal now that will require $1500 down and $600 a month on an is350 with 15k miles/year.
36 months
Ummm. Your right. It goes both ways though, i bought IS250 now i know that i would have been happier with either a c230 or E90.
My lexus just does not compare to European Ride
I bought my car mainly for looks and better standard equip but not satisfied overall. I not taking trashing my Lex just my preference.
So Get the C55
