Default cost to fill up

i calculated it by some prices of premium gas by the tank size, which equaled like 53$. Does it work out that right or am i off? also, should there be a point which i fill it up, example, if there is 1/4 tank left..thanks

That's about right. I fill it up at about 0 miles left and there is still about 2 gallons left.

Mine is a typical $45-50 per tank at about $3.35/gallon.

That's 15 gallons...

I just recently filled up my tank. Ran it until the light came up, and put in 14 gallons at about 3.32 a gallon. that's relatively cheap compared to westwood (at roughly 3.5-3.6 a gallon). costed me about 47 bucks.

on a side note, how often do you guys fill up your tank? as my daily driver, i fill up my tank about three times every two weeks. in a year, that'll mean i'll fill up my car 78 times a year. at 47 dollars a tank, that's $3,666 a year just on gas. and that's seeing the gas prices dropping a little. just wait until oil gets up to over $80 a barrel (which isn't that ludacris)...

i wouldn't use those touchless carwash if i were you...they tend to use harsh chemicals that may not be good for your paint and the spray jet gets real close to your car...hand wash is the best.
