Default Aerotect redout taillight kit

AM i the only one having probs installing their redout kit? it seems to be significantly shorter than the amber portion, no matter how I "stretch" it, it wont overlap the entire amber area. any thoughts?

I'm going to have Francisco do it for me. He pitched me the idea of covering the amber a while ago but the problem he had was having it conform to a curved lens. I mean even he and his assistant had problems at that time so to do it yourself would be tough. I suppose you can slice the film to first make it overlap a bit and then cut off the overlapped piece. Does that make sense at all? Sorry it if doesn't.
Or, If you live in the L.A. area, you could always make an appointment and have him do it for you. Since you purchased it from them, I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it for you.
Good luck.
Dan

use a blow dryer on the film. it will make it heat up and easier to stretch. i did the same thing when i was blacking out my taillights on my g35

Default me too

the red film is too short from left to right!
we should not have to stretch it, thats what we paid for right!
It should fit.
I am going to e-mail aerotect and see what they say

I have the SAME PROBLEM!

I ordered from Aerotect and the service was Great!

The package came in fast! (Puerto Rico)

The instructions were very instructive and clear!

But man! The fitment was not quite the one I was waiting for...

I never emailed Aerotect, and I decided to live with it. It is NOT A PERFECT FITMENT. It looks good for almost everybody, almost nobody notices, but those who know about cars do...

I was going to order from AeroTect, but decided not to after seeing that the film is a bit darker than the tail lights . I got the RVinyl film and made the cuts myself, and trust me, it's not difficult at all and the match to the rest of the tail light is perfect!!!

I got the aerotects on my car, the color doesnt match very well. The portion looks darker, but the size of my film was a perfect fit.

my drivers side one fell off after a week. haven't bought another pair yet and there's still the adhesive on my turn signals from where they came off. so the turn is sticky and dull while the rest of the light is shiny. I'm not sure if another pair would make it thru the winter if it wouldn't withstand a wash.

Mine has begun to change color. Still matches pretty good and looks better than brand new aerotect reds.
