Default Clear Bra Bikini Cut

Ok, I'm pretty sure this hasn't been touched on before... I just dropped my car off in Orange, CA @ Ultimate Auto Care. I'm getting the full bumper coverage w/ the 24" bikini cut hood film. All 3M material.
The bikini cut isn't cut straight across, it's more of a curve.... to go with the contours of the hood.

Anyone had this done on their car? I'll post pics when i get it back today.

yes, it slightly goes up. nothing drastic. maybe only a 5 inch difference between the center of the hood to the edge.

Mine is the same way, it's also curved on the fenders.. I would of prefered a straight line..

My ride is white. So it shouldn't even be that noticable. Pictures and my eye will tell.

is there a benefit to this type of cut vs the straight line??? minus the increased coverage area of course...

Primarily I think the benefit would be aesthetics. It's 24". Not sure where the measure is coming from... the edge of the hood or the center. I will measure it when i get the hoopty back.

I have the same cut on mine. It is purely looks as it does not look as obvious as straight across. It is a subtle curve. Either way it does its job.

Here are the pics I promised. Mainly install pics. I will post closeup shots later.
If you're in Orange, CA. Check out Ultimate Auto Care 877-70-CLEAR

His work is amazing, I am completely satisfied w/ the work. Even the bikini cut for the hood flows so nicely w/ the contours.

I see lots of threads with people getting 3M film applied, but NEVER from anyone with Park Assist or Headlight Washers. I'd like to see some close up pics of those installations.
