Anyone know how much it would cost to repaint a small portion of the car? I just got egged (along with my friend who parked behind me) and the egg shells left a lot of little paint chips. It's not too bad but it is noticeable and I'm still debating whether I should repaint it or just leave it alone. The area is behind the gas tank and the size is about.... well just imagine getting hit by an egg and how big the egg shell would leave a scar... so not too big.
I'm sorry to hear about your car.... Depending on where the scratches/chips are and on how much of the area they have to re-paint. It could cost from a couple hundred to almost a grand...

You're not alone. I have leftover egg fracture on my bumper. Fortunately, no marks on the rest of the car. Got 3 total hits.
Try some touch up paint. Did you wash off the eggs immediately?
Yea... I was lucky enough to catch it about an hour after. I stayed up until 2:30 am washing my entire car just to make sure I got all the egg off. I washed my car again when I woke up and waxed it after trying to buff off some parts of the minor scratches. I didn't get any paint damage from the egg but the egg shell did leave a lot of chips. What did you guys end up doing? Did you just leave it or did you get it repainted? The paint chips are something I can live with but even my mom can see it, which means that it is noticeable.
Yea, same here. I googled it right after I washed my car at 2:30am and I found out that if you don't clean the mess up asap it'll eat through the clearcoat and possibly mess the paint up... That's when I went back outside to wipe my car down again just to make sure. Then there was the egg shell paint chips....
Question: Do most of you that were Egged live in southern or nothern Cal?
It's pitiful that you can't have something nice and people have to mess with it.
I say if you ever catch those suckers you should teach them a lesson. About your paint chip it depends from different body shop. I suggest go to different body shop and try to get an estimate.
