Quote: I've had them on several cars for years now.
I have had mine now for two years but most people were complaining about only lasting a year. I did make sure I did not touch the glass. I think the manufacture was listening and improved the life of the Silverstars (new Ultra Silverstars last 30% longer). They will go in my fogs as soon as I get my 07 IS.

I matched my DRL's and Parking lights to my Fogs...they're all Piaa ion yellow. Sort of an homage to old school lexus vehicles.

hi guys. do you mind to post a link of how to swap out the bulbs for the fog light? I remember someone posted it long time ago, but I couldn't find it. I just got a pair of PIAA yellow from Hong Kong for only $35 USD, and I can't wait to install it. Thanks in advance.

My Silverstars lasted under a year. No, I did not touch the bulbs (otherwise the casing should've shattered from the heat of the oils).

The left headlight lasted 10 months, the right one 11 months. I'm on my second set. If they blow out early again, I'm switching to something else.

While I've had the same SilverStars in all three of my cars for an average of 3.5 years, with no problems or burn outs, next time around I'm going with Hoens, which have even longer lifetimes and supposedly better light.

YMMV

Quote: WOW! Those babies are expensive. Looks good but I still like the yellow fogs.
the sylvania cool blue are actually less (20.00 per set) and honestly they look whiter then the silverstars, compared to my highbeams which are silverstars.......
silverstars do have a more yellowish tint IMO.
