Default Side markers

I don't know why Lexus think we don't need side marker lamps here in the US. Especially with those huge blind spots, at least if we can't see other people next to us, side markers will at least give them a chance to honk at us before we make a move. Has anyone tried to put side markers on their cars yet? Side markers are standard in other parts of the world but I don' know if anyone is willing to punch a hole in their fender. How about modifying the puddle lamps to become side markers? Is that possible?

While I'm at it, how about rear fog lights? I don't exactly want anyone running into my crystal white driving around in foggy SF.

I don't miss the rear fog lamps. Besides the fact that most Americans don't know what they are; I see countless German cars around here running rear fogs in perfectly clear weather, looking like they have one burned out brake light.

I agree for the side markers. They should be mandatory in North America. On my old car, it was easy to install. Remove the side emblems to expose the hole and wire and clip the side marker that you purchased at the dealer. We never know, maybe the wires are hidden inside the fender well already... Alright, I should stop daydreaming.

I remember lots of time when I was at an odd angle with the car in front of me. I liked the fact that I could tell them where I was turning. Saves on the guessing game for both drivers.

wow... never knew what that was. It does look kind of weird in normal conditions.

I think it would be doable to convert the puddle lamp, something that sticks out from underneath the mirror. hmmm... Ill have to look around, maybe something like a really low LED array. Ill see at work what w e have..

regards..
