Hi all! Just want to say hello.
I just got my IS last Thursday 7/20/2006.
I got a pretty good discount from MSRP.
The dealers around here do not even want to begin a negotiation from invoice. Reason? The AWD IS' are seling pretty hot in the NorthEastern region, they say.

This is my first lexus, and I hope will not be my last

Reading a lot of posts in this forum prior to purchasing my IS, I can tell that there are a lot of car nuts here That is one of the reason why I decided to go with the IS!
Anyone located in VA/MD/DC area?
Want to get together sometimes?

 

we had a meet in Harrisburg PA....The caravan started in Arundall Mill MD. 2 IS came through from NYC .. looking sharp I may ad... there will be some footage in NELOC later .. I think they are still partying....Check us out on NELOC... what part of the area are you in?

I am interested in installing xenon depot HID kit for my IS250 (have nav, but did not go with luxury package).
It will be nice if I can get some insight from fellow forum members who have done it and perhaps see the installed result in person. I had experience retrofiting HID kit to past vehicles (Audi A4) but I keep an open mind and think that every car is unique.

When and where will the next gathering be, if any?

I'm also very close to you, and interested in picking up a set of XenonDepot HID's for my 250 AWD as well- I've had my car since Nov. 05 so any questions let me know.


Oh and for all of you CA guys (seems like everyone), I'm in So Cal until Tues (without the IS) and was wondering if there's anything IS or mod related I should check out while I'm here?

 

Congrats on the new ride. I don't know why they didn't want to negotiate with you. I basically just shopped between all the dealers in the metro areas(dc, balt, va) and ended up getting the overall best deal there in annapolis. They didn't have any problem negotiating and they'll come all the way down to OC to pick up the car for service. Don't know where you got yours, but I will say that I've used the service dept and had a great experience. Good luck with the new car...you'll love it.
