Window sticker said " Black Pearl"
I purchased my IS350 the first week that they came out in October last year. My window sticker says that the color is Black Pearl. I believe it's Smokey Granite Mica. Anyone else have "Black Pearl" on their window sticker?
Personally I like the sound of Black Pearl better than SGM.

I have a friend that has a Tacoma truck that is Black Pearl, it looks like SGM. I'm wondering if it is possibly the same paint but different names between the Toyota and Lexus brands.

SGM and Black Pearl are the same. Look at the color code on the door jamb. If it's 1G0 then it's SGM/Black Pearl. Try calling Lexus with that color code and order some touch up paint and they'll tell you they're ordering Black Pearl. Same thing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They most likely changed the name of the Black Pearl to SGM at the beginning of the year (on window stickers) so that people would not get confused between BP and Black Onyx. When I registered mine on Lexus.com it came up BP also.

Yes, SGM is the same as Black Pearl.
I ordered the touch up paint (colored coded 1GO which can be found on the sticker of the door frame) and it says Black Pearl. If you look at the color of the car, doesn't SGM look at a black pearl?
