Hello.

Welcome to the Forums.

The quarter mile time for the IS350 according to the Lexus website is 14.2 seconds.

You'll find lots of info on this website. Use the "Search" function for all the answers to your questions. Good luck!

People at the track have been running consistent 13.7 time slips with a stock IS350.

We've gotten some of us together in Tampa Bay area at Bradenton Motor Sports. Don't know where you are in Florida. I asked you that in your other thread. My best time for 1/4 mile was 13.96 in 93 degrees.

Here is our post from our trip to the track:

I ran a 13.6 at almost 101 with a fully loaded car. Only modification was the stock intake pipe was replaced with a JOEZ pipe.

Hey does the intake make THAT much of a difference? And how much difference does temperature make? These may soud like amateur questions, but Iam kind of a noob at this lol

When I ran mine, I did the following:

* VDIM off doing the foot dance
* PWR button on
* Put it in 6th gear on sport mode / Let it shift by itself
* And launched at about 1500 RPM

I was running 13.7 consistently in 90+ degree heat and humidity....

I pretty much did what Payam did plus:

* removed spare tire and jack
* ran my rear tires at 28 PSI

Temps were around 75*F and I ran 13.4-13.5s (with a best of 13.36 but it was 50*F out).

-DIM off and In Drive
-Stock tire pressures
-PWR mode for tranny on
-80 deg F
-No car weight reduction
-Just mash the pedal on the 3rd yellow.

Car had very little tire spin, but enough that VDIM would pull the power and keep me from going below a 14.0 at 99mph. As soon as I disabled VDIM, I hit 13.6's and 13.7's at just under 101mph consistently.

I thought VDIM was just to prevent the skidding, and traction control was to prevent the tire spin? How/why does VDIM have the effect that it did?
