Anybody know where to get a custom fit sunshade for the windshield (what you install when parked)

i would like to get one too. it probably needs to be custom so it works effectively and easy to install. plus i'd like to get Lexus or the logo on there.

http://www.canvasworks.com

These are custom made by hand. I corresponded with one of the guys there via email and even though they don't have the 350/250 listed on their site they do have the template and can make it. I'm going to be ordering one in the next couple days.

Here's my email from Adam @ CanvasWorks

Hi !@#$%,

We do have the pattern for the '06 IS350 & '06 IS250 as they have the same windshield, although our www.canvasworks.com web site has not been updated with the 2006 applications.

The application you are looking for is pattern #1104. You may call us directly or email me all of your contact and payment information including a day time phone number if you would like to order the HeatShield.

Best regards,

-Adam

We have bought one of these for each car we have purchased since about 1990: http://www.superiorcarcare.net/cusuvsheatsh.html

They are model specific, fit perfectly and are durable if not abused -- the one we had for our 90 LS was worn but still usable after over 13 years of use.

The UVS shield is available from a number of on-line merchants - $49 is the best price I remember seeing.

They make the 'HeatShield' which is what I had on my S2K and is what I want for the IS. About $35

I have a Canvaworks heatshield for my other car and it works wonders. Everything they make is an exact fit for the car. The last time i was on their website, they did not have anything for the 2006 IS though. They usually go for around $35-45. They get from me.

I think the HeatShield is what I have for my Acura. It works great but it tends to sag after a while. I taped a couple of small wood dowels to the back side to stiffen it up. Its good to know where to find one for the IS when I get it.
