Default Hidden Nav Screen

I am not sure how this would help some of the guys to work around the navi hack, but 'supposedly' this will do the same without hacking.

Downside: This has to be done every time you turn the car on, but the guy who showed me the car at the dealer showed me this trick.

I searched and couldn't find any info on this, and excuse my blurry pics (taking picture with one hand and shakey hands makes it worse):

Step 1: Go to the menu:

Step 2: Select the volume button:

Step 3: Here you have to alternate pressing your two fingers between the top left side of the screen and bottom right of the screen, shown here:

Step 4: Continue to alternate pushing fingers on the screen in step 3 until this screen appears:

Step 5: On this screen, select and hold your finger on Over Ride as shown here until you hear a beep and the Over Ride button remains depressed:

Step 6: Push the back button and you are back to normal, but with full system funtionality.

Please let me know if this helps at all and makes available the features that you guys were having difficulty accessing if you have NOT done the navigation hack.

That is actually different than the nav hack. The one you are showing just allows you to enter destinations while driving. That is the only thing the nav hack doesn't do....

hidden nav screen is old, most of us already know about it. doing a search on "nav override" gave me 30 results. it's not the most convenient feature since it has to be done every time, but it's good to know in case you need it. anyway just so everyone knows, you don't need this override in order to enter some destinations. if you already have a destination stored in the one-touch favourites, you can use those while driving. i think you get to store 5 or 6.

even with the nav hack, when you a driving down the road, certain menu items in the nav will grey out and lock you out of making adjustment and then they highlight when you come to a stop. the nav hack is mostly good for playing dvd movies on your ml while driving.

The nav hack also allows you to read mp3 track info through the Details button while moving.

The override is mainly used to allow one to enter destinations while moving.
