Default iPod install alternative...

Instead of Vais and Dice units... what do you think of this cheap alternative... made from the same company that introduced the iJet RF remote, ABT....

If this will allow me to select my music without having to handle the connected iPod and simply leave it tucked away somewhere, I think this could be cool...

Anyone have knowledge of this product?

Did you intend to post a link or a product name? My mind reading skills have been a bit rusty lately.

LOL... I never posted a link...

I was referring to the ABT 2-way remote. A remote with an LCD display that will let you see iPod information. the picture that they provide is obviously a photoshop so I cant trust that. I am going to contact ABT and find out if you can see the iPod menus (Playlists, Artists, Albums, etc.). If you can only see track names, then its just dumb

heres the link finally...

Sure, you would still need to look at the unit, but at least you dont have to pull out the iPod which is all wired up in the center console...

well, i did some more research on this product and it seems to only display artist, song, and playlist info... big whoop. So all it realy does is let the user know whats coming out of the speakers.

does anyone know how much it is? I like it for the fact that you can skip songs without having to take out the ipod from the center console. Seems cool to me.

If anyone knows where to purchase this, Please Post a link.
A Google search gives links to hundreds or reviews but nowhere to purchase.
Thanks

to my knowledge there is no where to purchase this device. we talked about this product right here on CL earlier this year, probably in February. Everything says coming soon April 2006 or Q2 2006. I even had a seller with an in-stock alert email....still waiting. I know this minute I saw this, it will turn up someplace but here goes.....this is vapourware.
