side window visors are VERY tacky and serve absolutely no purpose. just like those stupid bars on suvs that 'protect' the front bumpers and headlights.

I think they look GOOD!
Those actually works to open your window a bit when its raining so the water does not get in.
Just in case you have another come back why i would open the window when its raining...So the interior window does not fog up and no i dont want to use the heater.
STUPID Bars on SUV you should be lucky to get nailed by one in the back so you can see how useless they are
Well, I guess the visors are a matter of taste. On the subject of "stupid bars" however, they saved my LX470's front end on more than one occasion from damage.

I hear this argument all the time, but I can't really remember any instance where it was raining and I was just aching to open my windows. I think they're 99% for appearance, which is fine if that's why you're buying them. It's sort of like buying the rear lip spoiler and claiming it's for the down force it will create at 150 mph.
It just seems like a lot of time and money to install these if the ONLY reason is to avoid the dreaded A/C to clear windows when it's pouring. I have this vision of people with these opening windows during the rain, and then immediately rolling them up and turning on the A/C when the rain stops.

Any kind of spoiler is definately for looks. how often do you actually will need that much downforce or drive 100mph every time.
In My opinion some cars don't look right with this on. but i looks good for ISX to me and serves a purpose.
It's not hard to put on you simply click them in to place. I would not want to turn my AC on when its cold.
