sport package availability
Althought asking around, normally dealers would say that for ML or sports package, you need a special order, for some odd reason I was able to find a dealer that had two with sports package installed on the lot. And luckily for me, one of them was exactly the one I wanted so I took it. Look around but its rare I think, you might just get lucky. There's still one left at the dealer here in NY, IS350 with sports package and navi in silver/black. Goodluck!!!
well here's the deal.
i special ordered a SGM/Black int w/ sports package only ... no ML or NAV for $500 under MSRP. This was in Omaha, NE so not alot of competing dealerships. Scheduled to be delivered in maybe 6wks but after reading all the recent posts about people getting great deals, I am thinking I should try to bargain some more.
The only problem is that they cashed the $1k deposit I put down, so am I in any position of advantage to try to get more off the price?
I could purchase in NorCal because I'll be there for the next month and drive it back to Omaha if the price is a steal. In that case, I wouldn't be insistent upon the sports package but getting the most car I can for $39,000.
Any advice?

You should check your order agreement. I believe it states the committment criteria on back. When I ordered mine, I believe it said that I could renegoitate after 30 days if I had not received the car (this was standard language). I guess I could have legally renegoitated if I wanted since it took 4 months for my car to come, but the downside is the dealer could have said deal off and sold it to someone else at a higher price.
