Default Ugh.... Someone Keyed My Car....

Well, I havent even put 500 miles on it and its already happened. Someone took a key and ran it across the hood quite a few times.

I will post pictures up in a little bit since I just got in.

My question for everyone is, what are my options for dealing with the scratches? They arent really deep, and they are so shallow I actually thought it was dust lines at first. What do you all suggest? My car is Tungsten Pearl, so they are even less noticable.

If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail, then you might have to have the hood repainted. If you can't, then there is a good possibility that the scratches can be buffed out. If they're deep, I hope you have comprehensive.

That sucks!! But it sounds like you should be able to just buff it out.

dont know if the clear bra is a plausible solution. Because if they tore it up, it would still have to be replaced and would not be cheap. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the jerks who feel it is their right to key cars...

Take your IS to a quality detailer or body shop. You'd be amazed how much "damage" they can remove.
