Default where to put change?

I like to keep some change in my cars but I can't seem to find anyplace good on my is350. Even the ashtray seems too small.

Any ideas?

use the search feature, there have already been posts about this...its seems most people take out the ashtray and use that area as a change holder...

i took out the ashtray and used to put my change in there but found it hard to pick out which coins i wanted. i put the ashtray back in and took out that aluminum cigarette butt smasher thingy and put my coins in the actual ashtray. so now if i need some change i pop the ashtray out and i can pick out which coins i need.

There's a button on the side of the ashtray (to the right) that you just have to push and the ashtray will come right up.

Btw, I just use the ashtray to hold coins. If I need change, I just pop the ashtray out and dump the change out into my palm.

Cool thanks. I'll give it a shot tomorrow... I really didnt even try... I just tried to push and yank on it a little in the dark and it didnt come out... and didnt think it was that important...

I'm going to see whats the best way to mod it to hold coins like you said. Probably take out the aluminum bud smasher thingy off the ashtray.

yeah theres a lil lever/button outside of the ashtray... at the bottom right corner of it. press the lever and the ashtray will rise up. as for the aluminum cig butt smasher thingy... just pull it straight out. the ashtray also fits my cell phone in it perfectly so i put it in there sometimes.

The aluminum cigarette piece can come out? Wow... good to know. I'm going to go try that right now!

I have a little container that I put my change in. Usually the quarters for parking, I temporarily put the others in there and when I get home I take them out.

I've been putting my extra change in the cupholder in the center console by the shifter.

It doesn't get used for drinks, since no one should be eating or drinking in my car anyway!

I'd be parnoid of putting coins in there, though. I feel like it'd be too easy to accidently drop a coin or two on the wood trim, and have it scratch up or something.
