Default super hard to find

The salesman from Bay Ridge Lexus pissed me off. He kept on saying he was going to call somewhere and search the IS350 Red/Black Lux/Nav for me. I even gave him a 2nd color option of Silver/Black, and he never returned my call. I called him again, and I said just tell me if could find it or not; otherwise, I would just order it - I don't mind to wait 6 weeks. The salesman was like I'd definately return your call, but guess what? He never called me back, and I was super pissed. During the two weeks waiting, I had been shopping at other dealers in my area and New Jersey. It was rough. Found red/black lux/nav at Prestige Lexus in NJ, and they would not even give a good discount. Called up Rocksville Lexus in Long Island, NY, they only have a black/grey in stock. Lexus of Manhattan, NYC = no red/black. Finally found it in Lawrence Lexus in NJ, but it's sports/nav. It's in the lot now! I'm still in the process of discussing the deal. Even though, luxury package is not available, do you guys think it's still good to pick up the sports? The differences are just the power rear sunshade, aluminum pedals and scuff plates.

The aluminum pedal comes in the sport and not the lux. The rear sunshade i hardly ever use since the car is tinted. The scuff plate is cool but you can always add that in later. I say if the deal is right go with the sport.

Sometimes when a dealer says the car you want is on the lot, it's a bait and switch. It happened to me once. When I got there, it was the color I wanted but wrong interior. He said he thought that's what I was looking for when I emphasized what I wanted before I drove there. They're always trying to move inventory.

Yeah. I was afraid of that too. Therefore, he faxed me the window paper of the car.
It's really red/black, and it shows the VIN number too..... He can't be lying right?
I just spoke with him and got the deal. Will pick it up this Saturday.

Pick up so fast? ah.....lucky. Ordered mine recently from Rallye Lexus on Long Island, was told the vehicle was at port and will be arriving in one week. But, it's been one week and no car yet.

CHeck out Warnock Lexus. They're supposedly getting a new shipment of IS coming in next week. Maybe they'll have what you're looking for.

That is EXACTLY what happened when I picked mine up. Specifically ordered SGM with blk int and got there to find a SGM with sterling interior. I was super pissed. After much arguing they admitted they were more concerned about finding me the exterior color I wanted and didn't care what int color it had. I ended up liking it, and I got the prem pack car for the base price so I cant complain too much.. but felt like I was duped. Had no choice but to take it. Had the loan, sold my G35, and drove two hours.

Hey Rohrich in Pittsburgh has a Blue Onyx/Black 350 with sports/nav with like 150 miles. I am sure you can get a great deal on it. If I wasn't sold on AWD so much, I would have gone for it. It also had PA and HW. I would check it out if you are more flexible with color.

Seems like a high amount for "new", but too low to be a demo. Just seems like one of the sales people took it out for an extended drive.

I got mine with 14 miles on it. I guess yours was driven by prospective buyers more than mine. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless you're sensitive about the mileage.

It's gonna be a special order for me in any case. No Mark Levinson available in the northeast. I guess Lexus thinks us folks who experience occasional snowstorms don't like nice stereo equipment.
