Default OEM HID Bulb confirmation???

I have the stock 4300k HIDs but was interested in the 6000k or 6500k kit from xenon depot. Someone posted on here that all I need is the bulbs and he thought the manual said D2S . . . so I emailed XenonDepot.com and got a reply from Steve asking if I was sure it wasnt D4S bulbs. . . I dont have the car yet so I cant look at the manual, but can anyone please confirm this for me??? Thanks

Not sure what model you have, but for the 350, the manual says it's the D4S bulb. However, I believe D2S would also fit, but I'm not 100% sure.

so we can just change the bulbs for a more "BMW" like look if we have OEM HID's?

"BMW" Look? The "BMW" look is the same on the 3rd Gen TL, S2000's, and Audi's. It's all in the projector orb.

Anyway, Toyota is using a new type of HID capsules. They are called D4S & D4R respectively.

The D4 series uses less wattage & and does not contain Mercury.

The factory bulbs in our IS's is now rated at 4800K, as opposed to the past D2 series 4300K.

most likely its d4s... i dont have the manual handy. but the d4r would be used for non projector headlight and the d4s is for projector headlights.
