Ok so i ordered my car about 3 1/2 months ago. Which is fine i have contacted my dealer and have been promised the car by mid june. SOOoO heres my brain buster. People are ordering the 07s why should i take this 06 when they aren't even making them anymore unless i get a great lease rate(because im leasing it i only locked in the msrp). Did anything change on the 07? and just to be driving it around yea its brand new but honestly its not? Please someone give me some feedback. Thank You

I don't understand why you're suddenly concerned. You ordered the car knowing it wouldn't show up for 3 months... at which point, the 06's would be nearing the end of their build cycle. So you should have asked yourself these questions already.

The bottom line is, there are no substantial changes for 07. Do whatever makes you happy, but if you drop the 06 order, you're not even going to be able to order an 07 for a while yet, and then it'll be another 3 months. So you're looking at close to another 6-8 months if you decide you really have to have an 07 special ordered.

I haven't heard of anyone being able to order an '07. Maybe salesmen are writing down what people want, but they cannot be put into the system yet. I, also, have heard there will be no changes to the '07.

You'll get a better deal on an '06 than on an '07.

Here is what I've been told from a TMS rep I work with.

1) The 07s will not be available to the public until at least early Sept or Oct
2) The 07s start production June 15
3) You cannot(even I can't) order an 07 until the price is updated in the system
4) Even when the price is updated, the PIOs are not updated so you can't place an order
5) The maximum price increase/decrease is 3%, so don't expect anything drastic

Dealerships want you to take the 06s on the lot, because they don't know when exactly they will be able to order 07s, even I went to the dealership to see if he knew and was told they had no info and 07s wont be on the lot until October.

That is another 4-6 month wait, so I'd just stick to the 06 unless you really want an 07.

All the advices above are very good. I would like to add some thought.

Take the 06 if you do not want to wait any longer. Take the 07 if you do not care for the wait. Resale value wise, 07 will be higher than 06, but if you keep for the car a longer time, > 6 years, it will not matter that much.
