haha..just for kicks i tried holding it in place with my hand while driving...no more shaking...is there anything we can do to get rid of this? It's not positioned much differently than any of the other cars in our home...

I dont know if I already said but tape some dynamat behind it.

Quite a while ago, in another thread, I posted that I measured a distinct resonance of the RVM at 58 Hz, (which is a *very* common frequency found in music. It is also commonly found in road, wind and tire noise. My FR post, (Post # 97). If you guys are hearing the RVM vibrate at times, it is because the windshield/RVM mount resonate at this frequency.

Nope, doesn't shake. Only when the bass is up real loud.

Mine does terribly, both if the music is on and even if the music is off with the sunroof or windows open. Most people who notice this problem seem to have Navi, I don't see why that would matter. Also, I know there's the speaker in the upper dash, is that for ALL cars or just those with ML?

Cool

Ugghhh, I need to change my vote. I voted mine is fine, and now whenever this one song is on the radio, I think its Usher, the rearview mirror goes crazy.

I recently purchased a IS 350 w/ML, NAVI and Pre-collision and i had it for couple of days now. today I noticed something strange on the rear view mirror. seem to me that the Electrochromic on the rear view mirror is messed up. in daytime light hours i see on the left hand side of the mirror is kinda of faded and some line going across on the right hand side.

So my question to you all is that could it be that this problem occured due to rear view mirror shaking when listening to music with some bass or i should normal bass?

I did go to dealer and they will change it for me under warranty but I asked the service advisor that has he seen this problem on IS 250/350 and he said no.

Please feel free to share you experience with similar issue i am having.

mine shakes whenever the sunroof is open....bass or no bass, doens't matter! I found out that there is a TSIB regarding this so my next trip to the dealer I'm gonna demand they replace my parts.

I figure until I need the windshield replaced, I'll just have to live with it. A new windshield seems to be the only fix!

Mine shakes like a ****, especially with a song with a lot of bass and I don't even have my bass setting on that high. I get such a headache from looking at it that I don't even look at my rearview that much anymore.

No rattles here, HQ.

Perhaps it's because I hang fuzzy dice on the mirror?

I love my fuzzy dice. Fashionable, yet apparently practical.

A very rare marriage of adjectives these days.
