My radio doesn't cause problems, but with the windows down and/or sunroof open, holy crap, yes it does. I checked all the visible screws, and it seems bolted down well enough.

I am curious if everyone that is answering 'No' has tested the mirror shake with the moonroof and/or windows open

Never tested it. I'll try later if I remember.

I put yes, but it doesn't bother me.

Coming from a G35 that made me wish I had hearing aids that I could shut off when driving it because of all the rattles, a little shake doesn't bother me at all. If it shook and rattled, then I would have an issue with it.

It drove me CRAZY for the first week I owned it, and it only seems to happen when the bass is really shakin'. I've gotten used to it now, but yeah, that's a quirk I didn't have on my other 2 ISs. Pump up the volume!

I've done a fair amount of research on the issue, but no theorietical fix at the moment. I tried a sound dampening module with no luck. I'm willing to have the whole part replaced but with all those gizmos in it I think it would be tricky.

Does anyone know how likely it would be to get an LS430 mirror in there? My LS400 mirror never had any problems.

I don't think the mirror is the problem, I bet it's the windshield.

The mirror mounts are pretty much standardized across all new Toyota manufactured vehicles. I installed an upgraded Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror in my daily (Scion tC) - The instructions were for a Toyota Camry. I noticed during install that the mount is identical to the IS350. (I had taken the IS mirror off during my hardwire install of my Valentine 1).

For everyone that has replied 'no' or 'only when bass/volume is turned up' have you tested the mirror with the sunroof open and/or windows down? Driving at speeds above 40-50mph with the sunroof/windows open makes mine shake.

I drive route 22 about 11 miles every day to and from school...sunroof is almost always open...and i'm one of those drivers that drives in his rearview..IT ANNOYS THE HELL OUT OF ME
haha..just for kicks i tried holding it in place with my hand while driving...no more shaking...is there anything we can do to get rid of this? It's not positioned much differently than any of the other cars in our home...
