Anyone know what the MSG and TRAF buttons do on the screen here?

Some stations broadcast a "TYPE" id - rock, country, traffic, weather, etc and text info. The traffic button scans that id and will tell you which stations broadcast traffic. The message button will display the song title and any other text info included with the broadcast

 

ever hear of a thing called the manual?? it explains what those buttons do.

 

Hey thanks for the replies guys. I came across those pics from another post, they are not from my car. I realized i could have looked in the manual if it were available. I thought it was an satellite radio thing which I don't have. Thanks though.

I agree, huge improvement from the 4th gen nav display.

 

I was watching the Rush R30 DVD and was very happy at how it displays video as well. With the ML and a 5.1 soundtrack it is almost like being there (not quite...)
