hi guys,
i was browsing through the thread regarding cool stuff on the IS and someone mentioned that if I tell the Nav that "i'm hungry" it'll list the restaurant icons. so when my fiancee was visiting, I showed that to her while we were driving around. but i forgot how to turn the icons off and couldn't figure it out for a long time. after driving for a while, i remembered one guy wrote back regarding that "i'm hungry" comment and said something about "i'm horny" so just for fun, i pressed the talk button and said "i'm horny!!" and voila! the nav turned off all of the icon displays! it just cracked me and my fiancee up... just too funny. i tried to do it again, but it never worked :P

 

i think the nav in our cars is garbage, ok im sure half of it has to do with I have
zero experience with nav systems but still, i have common sense and i was
trying to type in a dest address and it kept giving me options for streets that don't
exist in my area. so basically i just found my own way home

To get rid of all the restaurant icons of your navi, just say "hide all icons" and they will all go away.

Yeah the navi can be a pain in the *** sometimes. I usually have trouble with it when there are other people in the car. A lot of times it won't recognize the command, or sometimes you say something and it recognizes it as something else.

It probably should have shown you where all the nudie bars are at when you said "I'm horny"

 

i was trying to figure this out too..and i did you can also just say "POI" and it hides the icons too

i have ZERO complaints on my Nav System in the Tristate Area, i love it even though im pretty good with streets and stuff myself, the nav helps
