I bought the MP3_My_Car thing and installed in my RX from a local auto repair shop in San Jose, CA. The deal was cheaper than I expected. It is very cool and ez to have control IPod through ML system and also through audio buttons on the steering wheel. The shop actually gave me a $30 store coupon for their repair service and parts.

Now, I just ordered another set for my wife's 2IS350, because she is tired of taking IPod in-and-out to have it charged. It's scheduled to be installed next week. I am sure my wife will like it.

I never knew that other place existed. I definitely want my iPod integrated like that but the thought of taking my brand new IS apart like that gives me pause...on the other hand, would I trust some other guy who's never done it before? NO WAY!

 

Same feeling here! But the shop worked on my RX, they have been worked on quite a few Lexus and other vehicles already, and they sell the modules also. That is why I let me work on my wife's 2IS again. I will ask them to mod the DVD/Navi also, and I am sure they like the labor charge but hold no liability for somthing like that.

I can let you know about the store if you are around San Jose, CA... if you need it. I guess you just need to find an experienced store only. Good luck on that!
