This is my next MOD!!!! I can't wait to see it in person. Dammit Ed, you keep making me spend money!!

The cool thing about LexFx is that they color match any IS.

Gotta ask why couldn't any decent local paint shop with the color code or Lexus dealer color match? It's just a painted grill, right - no magic here....

Finding the color code (example from an RX, but you get the idea)

Sure I'd have absolutely no problem on that for the savings, getting a local shop to do it is pretty easy and fast.... one or two day turnaround at most. Is the car going to fall apart while you drive without the grill for a day or the hood fly up (I don't know how the hood latch works)? Too embarrased? get it painted on Saturday.

I had mine done by my bodyshop guy for my GS color matched with black onyx and didn't take long at all. Plus is you just have to pay for the paint job vs a total second grill + labor to paint that one. Minus is you have to take it off your car and wait a little .

I personally don't think it'd look very good color matched for any color other than black....I would rather simply have the grill painted black for a sportier look in that case. That you can DIY pretty easily. I and friends have done several varieties from flat black to glossy w/ clearcoat and they look just fine with a bit of prep - example of one of the flat black 'anti bling' grills here

Looks good Ed. I too am tempted by your latest work.

Didn't know you guys did paint work too. Maybe when I bring my ride in next week (for the springs, wheels, and tire install) you can fix the long key mark on the passenger side --- or at least recommend a good paint place.

I dont like it. it looks cheesy. it changes the look of the car way to much for such a small 'mod'. yuck.
