Default TIS Personalisation Reference

Here's where to find the Master personalisation guide in the repair manual. BTW, I am printing the 2006 and the 2007 to compare for differences.

I wonder why that is, when there is a "all auto" feature for all the power windows w/pintch control...? Give that, what's the differece if I use the auto power window switch or the remote to raise the window...?

Nothing...

You cannot bring up the windows with the remote in Canada either, so it is not just a US thing.

question about the personalization. The dealer mentioned it briefly, when I test drove, that after 1000k miles I can bring it in for personalization. Is it something that has to be done by the dealer? Reason I ask if/when I get mine next year I will be shipping it overseas and there is no dealership here. I did a search for Personalisation Options and didn't finad anything in the search.

I doubt the car will even make it to 1 million miles!

these settings are precisely known as LPS or Lexus Personalization Settings and will need to be done at the Lexus dealership.

My dealer told me that I would have to bring it back within 30 days to get the custom settings done for free.

It all depends on your dealer and your relationship with your service advisor. I'm pretty sure I could get a free personalisation any time in my first year just by asking. But I'm also the guy who would show up with all the menus printed and circled for exactly how I want it to be.

Well at least Lexus fixed the sunroofs. My 4Runner is programmed to stop half way through closing it. You have to release the button and then push it again to get it to close. Pinch protection garbage.

according to the manual, it says you can close the windows with the mechanical key. that means u have to pop the cover out of the door handle to expose the keyhold and manually lock the doors and let the windows rollup.

not a good idea cos i dont want ppl to know they got keyholes and what's the point having a remote if you get back to the "manual" locking?
