I recently purchsed a set of these LED boards to put in my dome lights:
Obviously, they were too big to fit in the front one. I havent looked at the rear one so i dont know. I modified them (cut the **** out of them) to fit them in there. When i put them back in, you could clearly see the outline of the led's. In other words, it looked kinda ugly. It lit the interior up extremely well though.
Anyways, I contacted superbrightleds.com (where I originally purchased it from) and sadly, they wont do any custom work.
How hard would something like this be to make? Does anyone know where we can get it made and it wont cost a **** load? Hopefully we can get someone to make this happen.
come on, i know im not the only one that wants this!
i don't think led's can fade in and out like it does right now w/ the bulbs. thats probably why the puddle lamps aren't leds either. if i am wrong i take what i said back
Having the board manufactured is the easy part, but it's not cheap unless you are etching them yourself.
I've laid out boards before using software and had them produced at a board manufacturer. The most expensive part with this would be the custom board machining (Non square/rectangular shape).
If I remember right, someone on here posted a link to a Japanese website where they offer this.
