There is no way you are going to get $5K off of MSRP. It is almost insulting to the dealer to even ask IMO. It also depends on where you live. Some regions still aren't giving anything off of MSRP, others are giving $1-$2K. I would ask for $2000-$2500 off and if they don't take it then walk. If they accept it then buy it and don't look back. Better yet just send out e-mail to all your local dealers letting them know exactly what you are looking for and what you are willing to pay. They will get back to to you with a no hassle answer.

You could either ask the salesman right off the bat for their absolute best offer. Don't tell them what you want to pay, just tell them you've been talking to several other dealerships and you want to know what their best deal possible is on this car. Remember not to sound like you're dying to get this car. Oh & it also helps to say you have money in hand or that you're planning to buy immediately should the perfect deal present itself.

Otherwise, just be upfront and tell them you do not want spend more than X amount of dollars. When you do this, go several thousand lower than what you really want to spend, that way you leave room to negotiate back & forth with the salesman. You'll probably end up meeting somewhere halfway.

Also, don't worry about the luxury package. Getting the sport package is not going to hurt the resale value in any way. The biggest differences are the suspension and the rear-sunshade. Big deal...

Kuya, I see that you're in Washington state.

I recently got my TP/Black IS350 with Sport/Nav/ML for $3100 off MSRP from Lexus of Bellevue. Since your MSRP is higher than mine, you should try to AT LEAST get $3100 off. Anything less and you should refuse.

Here's what i did. I got a couple quotes from some out of state dealers Colorado to be exact and was about to make a deal with them because Lexus of Portland didn't want to budge. Just before i decided to make a deal out of state the sales person from Lexus of Portland called me and said they could make the $4000 off MSRP that i could get in Colorado.

Basically shop around until you find a good deal and just lay it on the line and tell them your numbers. They'll come around if they want to make a deal.

IS350 Lux/Nav/ML/spoiler and the accessory package for $40,200 i believe. My wife did all the paper work since i'm out of town. Got the clear bra installed as well but had to pay for that.

Bought my 400h from Lexus of Belluvue great place but in my opinion hard to get them to come down in price and all their cars come with the Northwest package which cost more $$$.

Good Luck
