Default Curb Rash

Last night I was backing out of a parking spot and really did a number on the right front rim - really *&(&( me off - anyway I took it to the dealer this morning for my first oil change and they said they could fix it for about $120...I'll post pics of the repair once I get it back - sorry no pics of the actual damage - couldn't bring myself to re-live my stupid mistake...just thought you folks might want to know that it can be fixed!!

Ok, I confess, I did the same thing. I am blocking this hence I did not know what to do about this. Please do share when your wheels are fixed.

Thanks.

does the price depend on the amount of damage to the rim? i scuffed my rim lightly hitting a small curb..it's not too deep or noticeable, but it's still bugging me cause i know it's there.

The scatch I had was about 13-18 inches long and was pretty ugly and it looks like it's going to be about 125 - had the scratch been around the whole wheel he said I would have been looking at 200+. Anybody know how they do this? I'll send some pics once I get it back...

i curbed my 350 too....but i cant pony up the money to repair...the bumper scratch i could care less about, its plastic after all and i just put some touch up paint on it.

other day i was on the 405 when this small metal beam was spinning in the air...left side bumper caught it and now i have scratches there...i swear the 405 hates me, but i guess im lucky i wasnt driving faster to catch it on the hood.

ok, well I promised pics - but, to be honest it would just look like a new standard is250 wheel - you cannot tell that there was ever any damage!! All in it was $150 - well worth the price to cover up my stupid mistake -- if this has happend to you - fear not, it can be repaired (fairly inexpensively) and you'll never know it was there!

How can they do it in less than a day? I thought wheel refinishing involved - among other things - respraying the wheel. How would it dry so fast? Are you sure they didn't give you someone else's repaired wheel, and kept yours to repair for the next customer?

That's a good question - I dropped it off @ 8:00 and picked it up at 5:45 - if they did in fact give me a new wheel than I am certianly fine with that - but the economics of doing that wouldn't seem very smart - maybe someone else here can explain the process - cause I sure can't..none the less, I'm one happy customer.
